Why do you do this?
The simple answer is this: I love to connect with other people and support people in living a fulfilling life. I've experienced my share of struggles, self-doubt, questioning, and even hopelessness. I've done my work to get through it. I've trained extensively in the mental health field, earning my Master's in Social Work and working at a broad range of jobs, and now I want to share my knowledge to help other people (like you!) improve their lives.

What is your therapy style?
I work from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Essentially what ACT teaches us is how to live a more meaningful life-- fully in the present moment--accepting what we are struggling with without labeling ourselves or our challenges (as good, bad, stupid, etc.) and without connecting our "selves" to the situations, challenges, actions, etc. that we find ourselves in. You are more than just your struggles!!!! ACT also has us identify what is most important to us and make a commitment to move towards those values.

How will you protect my privacy?
I am committed to providing you with a safe space to process and work towards your goals.
I will maintain confidentiality, and you will receive a copy of my policies to sign and keep for your records when we begin working together.
Virtual sessions will be held on a HIPAA compliant platform to protect your privacy. All documentation will be maintained through a HIPAA compliant platform as well.
I will follow the Social Work Code of Ethics
