Healers for Justice Listserv
I have created an email listserv for healers who are interested in social justice work. This listserv aims to be an inclusive and diverse collective of individuals committed to fostering healing, resilience, and well-being in communities through mutual support and collaborative advocacy. Rooted in the belief that healing extends beyond the individual to encompass the collective, this group unites a wide range of healers—whether medical, spiritual, psychological, or energy-based—to build community and advocate for social change. By combining the principles of holistic wellness with active engagement in social justice work, Healers for Justice seeks to create a network of individuals who support one another while working to improve the health, equity, and sustainability of our world.
Members are encouraged to:
Share opportunities for advocacy, volunteer work, donations, etc
Share resources, articles, research, and tools related to both healing practices and social justice work
Openly discuss injustices they notice
Uplift voices from people who are Black, Indigenous, Immigrants, Disabled, People of Color, or are a part of any other oppressed populations
Share knowledge and skills.
Participate in advocacy campaigns and initiatives.
Attend (and host) gatherings, workshops, and training sessions.
Offer pro bono services or volunteer in underserved communities.
Share referrals and resources with an abundance mindset (i.e. there is enough to go around; we are in community and collaboration, not competition)
Engage in the mutual care of fellow members and the broader community.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Healers in Playful Community
I'll be hosting FREE monthly events in nature for therapists and other healing professionals to play, have fun, build community, and socialize.
Let's not take things too seriously.
Purpose:
This event is a space for healers to come together in community and let loose a little. We spend our time healing others, and this is a space to nourish ourselves through play. We'll be outside, rain or shine, so we can embrace nature and feel more connected.
An Unstructured Space: In a world full of demands and conditions, we offer an unstructured, unguided space, to fill with whatever type of play suits you. We bring 'play' items, and you're welcome to bring some of your own as well (ideas of items to bring: hula hoops, yoga mats, music for dancing/mindful movement, drums, paint, canvas, ideas for nature art, bubbles, balls, crossword puzzles, chalk, oracle cards, etc). We hope you'll bring an open mind and maybe even some creativity!
Who is this for: This event is for anyone who identifies as working in a healing profession and is open to playing, resting, sharing, collaborating, referring, providing feedback, and creating a supportive community. Healers can include, but are not limited to: therapists, life coaches, nutritionists, people who offer healing arts/music/etc, yoga instructors, meditation teachers, massage therapists, etc. We welcome networking at this event, and we ask that you join with a mindset of abundance if you hope to network - trust that there are enough people looking for healing services that we can all give and receive referrals.
